QBS Inc. provides BACB-approved Supervised Independent Fieldwork for qualified individuals wishing to obtain Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification. Face-to-face supervision is available throughout the New England area. QBS Board Certified Behavior Analyst supervisors are in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and have extensive experience working with various populations, from children with autism spectrum disorder to adolescents and adults with psychiatric disorders to geriatric populations with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Amount of Supervision RequiredApplicants seeking BCBA must complete 1500 hours of Supervised Independent Fieldwork in behavior analysis and be supervised at least once every 2 weeks for 5% of the total hours (minimally 75 hours). Applicants seeking BCaBA must complete 1000 hours of Supervised Independent Fieldwork in behavior analysis and be supervised at least once every two weeks for 5% of the total hours (minimally 50 hours). Applicants may not start accumulating experience until they have begun the coursework required to meet the BACB coursework requirements.Required CourseworkThe BCBA applicant must hold a Master’s or higher degree from an accredited institution and complete 225 classroom hours of approved graduate behavior analytic coursework. The BCaBA applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and complete 135 classroom hours of approved graduate behavior analytic coursework.Fieldwork/Experience RequirementsThe BCBA or BCaBA applicant must provide behavior analytic services to multiple clients during their experience period.
